• still continues dysfunctional relationship with Jennifer, but finds out she has been cheating on him with some guy for them band Fishbone. (however, she never broke up with him even though he would sleep with numerous girls during their relationship).


• ak breaks up with jennifer


• touring on and off until spring of 1986


• JACK IRONS comes back


• jennifer keeps coming back, wanting to get back together...then relationship fades/drifts away


• AK IS FIRED FROM RHCP. drug situation + everyother situtation= bad to worse


• watches rhcp win award for LA Band of the Year ...while he is watching from bakc row of audience. sad. why did they forget about him? they didint even aknowledge him in their winning speakc.thoise bastards!!!!!!!!!!


• decides to go to michichang to visit mom and attempt to get clean


• on wayo to airport, gets stopped byh cops w/ syringes, heroin, coke, etc
  let off because he had the Star of David on his shoe, and the policeman was jewish(star of david drawn on his show from HIllel)
• flies to michign after much postpoingng from getting high ,etc.
• checks into salvation army rehab , Grand rapids, for 20 days everyhting hurts
• at 24, was actuially clean for the first time since he was 11 yrs old
• calls flea for a check in, have a heart to heart convo, flea asks if he would liek to return to the band
• ak writes "Fight Like a Brave"
• introduced to Ione Skye, 16 yrs old, by Flea. au natural, beautiful, soft, long hair etc. Falls inliove with her immediately.
• working in studio on songs for the album
• after 50 days of being sober, thought "50 is a good number. i think i should honour that number'' and went out and got high. blames his relapse on no support.
• getting high everyday w/hillel or wihtot.
• moved into Ione's house
• met mexican mafia drug dealer named mario. lots of drugs. gettin high in his filthy appartment. then started getting high Under the bridge . under a freeway bridge where no LAPD ever patrolled. safety zone. only mexican gang members allowed. ak said he was marrying mario's sister inorder to be allwoed to get high under tehre.
• toured for Uplift Mofo Party Plan. played some of the best shows in their lives
• made up fun games to play on the road. (whoever can puke first, eating gross food, etc)
• start to realize their a bit famous
• made $22 000 from the Uplift tour
• moved into a new hosue
• while in city with mario, gets pulled over by cops, taken to la county jail.had track marks on him (90 mandatory sentance) but is relased because Lindy picked him up
• Hillel getting more and mroe into heroin
• band embarked on their first proper euorpean tour. hillel walks off stage in london ebcause too messed up o heroin.
• hillel started pulling the exact same stuff taht ak was befire he got fired (too messed up to goon stage, etc)
• ak+ slim share heart to heart on train from norway to oslo
• came back. Kim got clean, went to meetings with her.
• came back to La. hillel and ak part and beeline for their indivdual dealers
• ak goes downtown and calls Ione, telling her that he will be a little bit late. ione is hysterical.
